Feedback From Our Past Guests

“I really appreciate that you guys offer this opportunity for even the little kids.  As a boy, I really want him to be able to cook for himself and his future family and enjoy it.  It’s such an important life skill.  He was so excited about cracking the egg himself 🥹.  We’re incorporating more cooking with him now at home because he was so excited about the skills he learned.  Really looking forward to future classes.  He said he had the best time 🥰. Thank you"

  • This is a fantastic experience for the kids! My two girls left with such a confidence in their ability to cook. They can't wait to go back.

  • We held our daughter’s birthday party at What’s Cooking and it was terrific!! The kids had an AMAZING time and raved about it for days!! Kim is the best! Her ability to teach and engage with the kids makes them feel like they are capable and confident when learning new cooking skills. Highly recommend!!

  • We celebrated our daughter's 10th birthday at What's Cooking Lakeland last weekend. There were 12 kids - ages 6 to 12 - and they paired up to compete in a Chopped Championship. The kids absolutely loved it, and the adults had so much fun watching. The owner Kim was very easy to work with and basically handled everything - managed the event, provided drinks and all of the paper products we needed for the cake. She also met with our daughter before the event to talk about what she wanted. My favorite part of this experience was the trust that Kim placed in these girls while they were cooking, she (rightly) believes that even the youngest child has the ability to work in a kitchen. The girls were truly empowered by the freedom they had to explore their creativity, and show off their skills. The girls were amazing and loved eating their finished dishes. We highly recommend Kim and What's Cooking!

  • Kim and her staff were absolutely phenomenal for a private adult event that we were a part of last week. My 11 and 15 year old daughters have also been to multiple classes and have enjoyed every single one. This concept was much needed and a great addition to our Lakeland community! I can wait to host my next community learning event for my lighting company next month. Thank you, Kim for such a great Lakeland addition!

  • My 9yo son attended a day camp at What’s Cooking and initially he protested about being sent; however; upon arrival his total attitude changed. Kim is amazing with the kids. She totally captivated the room and helped teach practical and somewhat complex cooking skills for a kid that isn’t familiar in the kitchen. I’m totally impressed by the sense of independence and pride just 5 hours gave him. Not to mention he was well fed from his own creations and made our family of 5 dinner for the night. Again, as a parent, I cannot thank you enough for the work you’re doing and I hope he continues to build his passion for cooking. Now... I better signup for my own lessons. Thank you Kim & What’s Cooking!
